"An Evening of Chamber Music" by Philip Glass, a concert with the music of the icon of minimalism, constitutes one of the most anticipated highlights of the program. On September 20th, we will hear pieces composed and specially selected by Philip Glass. Among the three performers who are close associates of the Maestro, there will also be a young pianist recommended by the master himself – Maki Namekawa. An explosion of sounds, colours and images, namely "Dimensions of music form" – the final concert on September 23rd. A symbolic combination of everything we experience during the entire MDF festival. At one time a flamenco queen, BUIKA, an avant-garde group of musicians and artists from the Apparatjik ensemble and the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of will appear on stage. The concert hall will be filled with sounds of Szczecin translated into music – the song "The Sound of Szczecin". The Philharmonic is not only about classical music. On September 21st the beatbox master, improviser, uninhibited experimenter – Beardyman. Will take over the stage. The artist will prove to all the doubters that there is no need for an orchestra to play a concert and embark on a journey through all musical genres. At the festival afterparty – September 22nd, the truest legend of electronic music, Hellfish will perform in Poland for the first time! His world is hardcore, breakbeat and heavy sounds. Yet Hellfish does not forget about searching and experimenting, and so he is preparing an extraordinary and unpredictable live act. During the five days of the festival, everything related to design will become one artistic message. Concerts, workshops, meetings, exhibitions, sound, light, animation and mapping as a coherent whole will make up for the festival, which has never been made. During the festival, the Philharmonic will become an art object itself. On the facade of the building, we will be able to see colourful spots, minimalistic mirages or pulsating shapes. An attractive visual setting will also be given to concerts and exhibitions taking place as part of the MDF Festival.
